Sarasota Wedding Officiant- Remembrance
Sometimes, as a Sarasota Wedding Officiant- Remembrance is requested by my couples and their families. A remembrance is remembering someone who has passed. This is a person who they wish could be at their wedding. Generally, the person to be remembered is a beloved family member. The couple and their family miss this person very much.
As a Sarasota Wedding Officiant-Remberance I say:
Bless this marriage, O God, as Groom and Bride begin their journey down the road of life together. We don’t know what lies ahead for the road turns and bends. Help them to make the best of whatever comes their way. We ask that you keep Groom and Bride’s loved one/s who have passed- (Say one or more who have passed) close to you. Please reassure Groom and Bride’s hearts that although their loved one/s are not here in body. However they are here in spirit with them on this special day. We are confident, Lord, that they are safe and surrounded in your glory. We pray that they will watch over Groom and Bride and be with them today on this very special day.
At this time we will take a moment of silence for two loved ones who are not here with us to witness this special occasion. Bride , the bride’s father, and Groom , the groom’s mother, have moved on from this life, but their memory and love live on in their children. May they watch over this ceremony and bless the union of their children.
Saying this as a Sarasota Wedding Officiant-Remberance is a very emotional experience for the couple and their families. It is much appreciated and adds warm feelings to the ceremony.
