This Unity Sand Celebration on Anna Maria Beach was very special. The bride has 3 daughters and the groom has 3 sons who joined their parents in uniting the family into one through the Sand Ceremony. Many of us have seen a Unity Sand Ceremony in a church where the bride and groom both have individual candles. They use their separate candles to light one big candle. On a beach, the candles will not stay lighted so I use a big Abalone shell. The couple puts sand into their small shells. They then pour it into the big Abalone shell symbolizing their being united through marriage. This Anna Maria Sand Beach Wedding ceremony was on beautiful Anna Maria Beach which is close to Sarasota.
