Destination Vow Renewal- Siesta Key
Many of my couples choose a Vow Renewal ceremony to celebrate a marriage. Perhaps you have made it 5, 10, 25 or 50 years and you want your family. friends and you to know you would get married all over again in a heartbeat. Some of you, who have been through a rough patch in their marriage want to affirm your commitment to each other and so have a Vow Renewal ceremony. You can choose to renew yourr vows at 5 or 10 year intervals. I have officiated at heart warming renewal services of couples married 50 and 60 years with their adult children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren! Sometimes members of the wedding party are invited to the renewal of vows ceremony.
Many of my renewals are for couples I married in Sarasota, Siesta Key Beach, Lido Beach, Anna Maria Island, Venice, Englewood and other venues in the Sarasota area. Wedding/Renewal sites can be a beach, country club, park, hotel, chapel, etc. You may choose to have your renewal service in the same place where your wedding took place. It is fun to look at the pictures of your wedding and your renewal ceremonies with the same background and surroundings.
Pictured are a couple who came to the U.S. from Germany to have their wedding and renewal of vow service as a destination ceremony on the same spot on Siesta Key Beach. Destination ceremonies are those ceremonies for couples who come here from their home in the US or overseas. As you will notice, he has his arm raised in celebration in photos from each ceremony.
As a bride, you may wear your original wedding dress if it still fits and carry a bouquet of flowers. You may exchange your original rings and sometimes you may choose the occasion to exchange new ones.
I so love officiating at renewal of vows services. What joy!
Hello Reverend,
What are some of the countries from which folks have traveled to renew their vows?
I have been blessed to meet couples from all over Europe for weddings and renewal of vows and learned about their countries from them. Recently couples have come to me from Scotland, U.K., Serbia, Slovenia, Germany and Ireland.
