I was honored to marry Charlie and Rod in their destination beach wedding after the Marriage Equity Law was passed in Florida in January, 2015. Also present at the wedding was a videographer who was from Yahoo news. It seems that Charlie had had several interviews in the days preceding the wedding. The reason was because in 1971, when Charlie was a government employee in Washington, he was fired for being gay. Charlie sued the government and won causing long standing policies to change.
